Sango’s Tarot Soul Tarot Training - Easiest and most Affordable Tarot course ever!

·         Sango’s Tarot Soul Tarot Training – So how does it work?

You sign up with me for Lesson One by sending me a message at Sango’s Tarot Soul expressing your interest to do so. You will pay for the lesson by online transfer and receive it by e mail. You will be added to the group made for the students of this course. Once you have gone through the lesson if you have any doubts or would like some practice, comment in the group or send me an e mail titled ‘Study Support’. Not only will I be there to guide you throughout, all of us will learn more and benefit from the discussions in the group.
I truly enjoy teaching more than I enjoy reading Tarot. People who have learnt a little from me have told me I make it really easy for them. So I am looking to reach out to as many eager students as I can without waiting for a few more years to be free to hold classes in person. I have committed to stay at home and exclusively enjoy being a mother at least until my little girl is five years old and no longer enjoys having me around ALL the time! J

·         What do I need to be ready to take this course?

Your interest to learn, Rs 30 for the first lesson, a FAT notebook dedicated to your own Tarot notes, at least two hours of self-study per week and preferably a Tarot deck.

·         Why do you have to pay per lesson instead of a one-time fee for the entire course?

I would like for you to have the flexibility to choose whether to continue learning with me in this way or not.

We all have preferences to different styles of learning. Some of to us would learn better in a classroom session learning with a teacher face to face.

I would have liked that too, when I first set out to learn Tarot. But firstly, I found that the cost of such courses was prohibitive. It almost always starts at Rs. 7000 minimum. Do not get me wrong – I believe that this cost is TOTALLY JUSTIFIED, now that I know how much time, money and effort a person invests into learning Tarot and becoming good enough to teach.

Over that, there are so many costs a teacher incurs in facilitating a class – notes, the rent for the venue and facilities etc. I am sure I would have charged at least Rs. 8000 per student to make it worthwhile for me to teach a class in person. But not everyone can pay that kind of money for something they are merely curious about and do not know for sure yet whether they will pursue seriously or not.

With this course, after you invest Rs. 20/25/35 (depending on the length of the lesson) if you feel it is not suitable for you; you are not stuck with me for the duration of the course. Don’t pay, and don’t continue with me! It really IS that simple!

Also, I believe my lessons delivered in bite sized installments will keep a student’s interest level high.  You get to decide when you are ready for the next lesson. People have a million things to do, and keeping up with an inflexible tarot course that won’t wait for you to catch up may not be possible for everyone. You may fall behind on your learning if you have to cut short your practice and self-study time to be present for the next lesson held in a fixed duration course.

On a more selfish front, it will keep me motivated too if I get constant feedback about the efforts I put into this. I need this, because after writing one e book on a section of the tarot, I quickly lost interest when there was nothing to keep me motivated to write on all the topics I had initially planned to write.

Every lesson of this course will take shape using your feedback. We will discuss doubts and queries at regular intervals for FREE, so that everyone is up to speed.

·         Another difficulty with learning face to face is making the time and taking the effort to reach class!

I don’t know about you but for me, if I can avoid the inconvenience and expense of travelling to attend a Tarot class, I will. I fall in the category of people who learn better when I am allowed to learn at my own pace. I like to be able to go back to my study material again and again. Each time I do so, the matter sinks in deeper. I see new information in it that I may have overlooked previously.
In addition to that if I have online support to ask my doubts and there are people who are taking the same course as me from whose doubts I can learn, nothing like it! With this course, learning support does not end after the lesson or even after the course.

If you are the kind who believes that learning from a teacher in person in a classroom is best, taking one lesson from me would help you decide whether this method of learning suits you or not. Give it a try! Wouldn’t it be better to find out and be pleasantly surprised than to indefinitely postpone learning waiting for the day and time when attending regular classes will become convenient for you ?!
Anyway, you get to keep the lesson forever. And those who have tried Lesson One from me will tell you, that what they learnt is going to simplify the way they interpret their cards forever!

·         How long does each lesson take?

That depends entirely on you. It depends on your pace of learning. The second lesson will be ready to be sent after TWO weeks. I believe a beginner needs to give at least that much time to the learning, reading more about the topic and completing the exercise I have given in the first lesson.
Generally a new lesson will be ready after every two weeks. You can request to be sent your next lesson much later, depending whether you feel ready to learn the next portion.

·         So WHY are my lessons ridiculously underpriced?

My lessons will ALWAYS cost BETWEEN Rs 20 – Rs 35 per lesson. The cost will depend on the length of a lesson. This is how I work as a freelance writer – I am paid according to the length of an article I write.  Trust me when I say that your Tarot lesson is priced at a FRACTION of what I would get paid for writing an article of the same word count! I have written about the reason for this low pricing. Read on if you have the time J

·          Is this some sneaky ploy to make you end up paying more than Rs. 7000 in total?

Well I can tell you this – it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that it will take more than 200 lessons for us to cover all aspects that a good Tarot course would cover! Very, very unlikely! And if by some genius plan I do manage to stretch out a simple Tarot course to span 200 lessons (RIDICULOUS!), remember that you always have the freedom to choose whether you wish to take the next lesson or not! You will always be informed in advance about what topic the next lesson will cover and how much it will cost.

·         So Seriously, WHY is the course so ridiculously underpriced?! What is my secret?!

The ‘secret’ is that I learnt TAROT for FREE from (in my humble opinion) the BEST Tarot teacher online – Brigit Esselmont of Biddy Tarot. She granted me the privilege of learning her certificate course, just like that, just an act of great kindness by someone who truly loves Tarot. And the only thing she told me to do was to pay it forward.

So this is me, paying it forward by making learning Tarot EASY and AFFORDABLE to the genuinely interested student.

If you want to know the entire story, it goes like this –

I follow the www.biddytarot.com of Brigit Esselmont religiously because for me it is THE BEST WEBSITE to learn tarot. Check out her website now and you will see what I mean.

Brigit Esselmont offers online Tarot lessons through easy to follow courses and also has written The Ultimate Guide to Tarot Meanings which is the BEST book for a student to learn from, in my opinion.

After I quit my full time job to be at home for my child and before I started working as a freelance editor/proofreader from home, I just could not justify investing in taking Brigit’s courses. When converted into Rupees, it would cost me an amount that I could not burden my sweet natured husband with! He would have readily agreed, but I didn’t have the heart to burden him with the expense. You guys can understand what I mean when I say ‘justify’, because most of us would get a similar reaction from family members if we say we are about to spend some serious money in enrolling for a tarot course. (Hein? TAROT?! Woh ki hounda hain?!! Woh seekh ke kya job milega?!! Can you put it on your CV? Blah blah…)

Besides, I had already invested quite an amount in taking courses by Doreen Virtue, learning Reiki etc.

But I really, really knew that I wanted to learn tarot and that too from Brigit Esselmont’s Tarot Foundations course ONLY. I had already taken her 31 days course and was desperate to learn more in depth by enrolling for her intensive Tarot Foundations course.

I thought and thought, and by divine grace stumbled upon a website called ‘Indiegogo’ on which I saw people setting up campaigns to raise funds for various things – from raising money for a honeymoon trip to raising money for a small business to raising money for a medical emergency – and everything in between – people had set up campaigns for a variety of reasons.

So I set up a campaign too. I explained to readers that I wanted to raise the amount that would cover the fee of this course, buy a me new tarot deck, a few good books on Tarot and pay for course on Psychic Awakening by another brilliant teacher I admire – Anna Sayce. (Check out http://annasayce.com/)

On one of Brigit’s posts about her book and her course on her FB Page ‘Biddy Tarot’, I commented that I WILL take her course someday and mentioned that I have even set up a campaign to make that possible. I hardly expected her to actually look at that comment. I thought just like I write get paid to write posts Social Media Marketing on the pages of businesses, someone hired by her must be handling her FB page for her.

Anyway, she DID see my comment and asked me to post a link to my campaign. I did so. Two days later I received an e mail from her that she was so touched by how sincerely I wanted to do the course that as a one off rare case, she decided to allow me to enroll for her course! Not only that, this awesome woman gave me her incredible book The Ultimate Guide to Tarot meanings e-book for free too!

I was already stunned, but she then goes a step further and arranges for me to learn from Anna Sayce as well – The amazingly effective Psychic Awakening course. Turns out she knows Anna Sayce and was able to get her on board to make it possible for me to do the Psychic Awakening course too.
As a student of Brigit’s course I made several lovely friends from all over the world, of which one sweet woman living in Australia gifted me a Tarot deck through Amazon J J

When you are touched by SO MUCH of kindness, that too from people you admire and people whom you may never even meet in your lifetime, it really touches your heart in a way that changes you forever. You want to spread that kindness and yes, you really do get inspired to pay it forward.
The way I choose to do this is by offering this course with this seemingly bizarre fee structure. If before my course only two out of ten people who wished to learn Tarot would actually take a course and invest close to nine thousand rupees (course fees plus travelling expenses plus incidentals), my aim is to get ALL ten of those people to be able to afford to at least CHECK OUT whether learning tarot is really for them.

·         Am I not worried that people will pay for a lesson once and may circulate the material without me benefitting from it?

No J
If you think that is OK to do, by all means go ahead. I hardly planned this course with the intention of getting rich! If sharing my material for free genuinely helps someone you know to learn Tarot, I am happy! Besides, remember this is not my primary source of income so I am not really greedy about it J

·         Will you get a certificate?

As of now, I do not plan to give out certificates. Thankfully for tarot readers, you are really only as good as your readings. People will return to you for readings and recommend you to others if they know you are good.
If however, in future I do start issuing certificates, all students who have taken this course with me will receive a certificate.

·         How many lessons will there be?

Honestly, it is difficult to say at present. This course is really going to get structured according to the feedback I get from students. So if majority of students need a particular topic broken into smaller sections to facilitate easier grasping, that is what I will do. So covering a topic may take longer. If students are able to grasp a particular topic quickly, we will breeze through it fairly quickly. In that case I will keep the material concise for that particular topic.

·         Will I need a Tarot deck to take this course?

I strongly recommend that you get a tarot deck before you start the course. Of course you can learn without it, but it will feel like only theory and you will not benefit as much as someone who has their deck handy from Lesson ONE.

My aim is to enable you to interpret cards from day ONE, lesson ONE - No matter how new you are to tarot. By the end of the first lesson I will already have you practicing how to interpret cards. So having a tarot deck handy will make more sense. I heavily rely on the Rider Waite deck. I personally feel it is the friendliest deck for beginners. This course would be easiest to those who use the Rider Waite deck. You can purchase it online if you do not have it already.

·         Is this course suitable for people who already have tarot knowledge?

Although my material is written with absolute beginners in mind, people who already dabble in Tarot can benefit from using this as a refresher course.

·         Will I have to invest in more study material?

I will have book recommendations for you, if you would like to add to your knowledge. There are invaluable online resources too that you can gain immense knowledge from.  I have invested a mini fortune in books on Tarot and intend to continue doing so. Because I believe nobody can get really good at something expert without constantly learning and practicing what they learn.

·         Will the course be discontinued at any point?

If I get too few participants, yes. At any point of time if it makes more sense for me to invest more time and effort to my freelance work than to spend time guiding a really small group of students of my course, yes, I will have to discontinue the course and providing support to the online study group. In such a scenario too, you will already have received value for money by way of the simple and easy to understand lessons you received up to the point.

I hope to see you in ‘class’ soon  J

The Fool - Major Arcana Card 0

The Fool Card
The Fool. I quite like this carefree guy!  Look at him, not a care in the world! He dosent know and does not care about the road that lies ahead. He dosent know where it will lead him. No destination in mind. He is off on a little adventure. Maybe routine life got a little boring for him. He seeks excitement.

The Fool has all he needs in the little pouch he is carrying. He is yet to open the pouch, yet to see what gifts he has been carrying. The white rose he carries in one hand is a symbol of love, of purity and innocence. Afterall the rose is the flower of Venus - the planet of LOVE. The dog, his faithful companion seems to be more mindful of the path ahead than he is. The dog is desperately trying to grab his master's attention to warn him of the danger ahead. The Fool could fall, get hurt really bad. Definitely double check your plans before jumping in headlong into something.

This card signifies freedom, happiness, new adventures or beginnings. It can indicate innocence, naivety and a carefree nature. The Fool is a picture of spontaneity. An example of living in the moment with no worry about the future. This card could indicate that you are at crossroads and need to make a choice. There is immense potential waiting to be tapped if you can carefully weigh the pros and cons before making your choice. You are confused about what choice to make. You will have to just take a chance and see where it goes. That is what life is all about anyway - moving forward without knowing what the future holds for you. This card indicates a time of personal growth and gaining wisdom. Whether your choice leads to good things or bad, do remember to keep the lesson in mind!

Reversed, this card would indicate that now is not the time to take rash and impulsive decisions. Stop, wait and think. Think a LOT. You lack confidence at present. Your actions could be immature and selfish. Look beyond the obvious. Read the fine print. That enticing job offer may not be as wonderful as it seems. That charming guy/girl may not really be the right one for you. Avoid pursuing foolish desires. Are you being inconsiderate right now? Are you being too materialistic? A little irresponsible? The Fool reversed is warning you to look before you leap. Haste always causes regret.

Meet The Minor Arcana

Cards of the Minor Arcana

The cards in the Minor Arcana reveal current issues, aspects of everyday life and situations related to people. The 56 cards in the Minor Arcana are divided into four suits:

I wouldnt stress too much about this as I have decided to go by the Rider Waite Tarot Deck in which Strength is card number 8 and Justice is card number 11. Different decks will have many differences, which is why, to learn Tarot reading as a whole it is important to be able to accept knowledge and be flexible about learning new things.
